Pediatric Respirologist (100-2667) (Permanent Specialty)

Island Health has a permanent opportunity for a Pediatric Respirologist in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.

The Pediatric Respiratory Clinic provides medical consultations, patient management and all other required respiratory services to pediatric patients from all across Vancouver Island. The service is supported by a clinic RN and RT.

Physician duties include:

1. Asthma clinic at VGH


2. In-patient consultations VGH


3. Consulting respiratory services for all Vancouver Island


4. Outreach Respiratory clinic in Duncan


5. Interpretation of all Pediatric Pulmonary Function Tests in Victoria and Duncan


6. Conducting and interpreting overnight oximetries in Victoria and Duncan (~/year).

The service also conducts a Complex Care Clinic – managing all technology dependent children on the Island, e.g Home Ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, in home High-Flow + O2, Tracheostomy, G/J-tube feed...
