About the Role

Description

+ Provide a consistent, compassionate, and professional patient experience throughout registration and admission.

+ Assess each patient’s ability to complete registration before services or room placement, including bedside registration when needed.

+ Notify clinical staff immediately if a patient appears to need urgent attention.

+ Complete registrations accurately and on time to ensure accounts are compliant, billable, and do not require rework.

+ Verify patient information, issue armbands promptly, and confirm armband accuracy with the patient.

+ Collect and document co-pays when appropriate, following EMTALA and other regulatory guidelines.

+ Escort or direct patients to the appropriate location after registration.

+ Secure, document, store, and return patient valuables according to policy.

+ Complete order entry, work queues, account notes, and system updates accurately and timely.
