About the Role

The Role

 

This is a great opportunity in Sydney for quality and talented Pastry Chefs to join the team on a full-time basis, as a Pastry Chef at Merivale, you will need the following experience and attributes: 

  • 2+ years relevant experience in the industry. 

  • Knowledge around preparing pastry products including doughs, pastry fillings, cakes, buns, biscuits, and bread.

  • An understanding of baking, shaping and decorating pastry and bread products.

  • Worked in a quality restaurant, patisserie, cafe or hotel.

  • Experience operating large machines including mixers, ovens, dough forming machines.

  • An understanding of HACCP, hygiene practices and following WH&S.

  • Can follow a recipe and accurately weigh ingredients.

  • Good communication skills, attitude and be a team player.
