Skills, Education, and Knowledge:
General educational background, usually equivalent to a Grade XII high school education.A relevant 2-year Community College Diploma, related University Degree or equivalent experience in the field is considered an asset.Experience in the social services field, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities is considered an asset.Police clearance with vulnerable sector screening.A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.Experience working with and following Behaviour Support Plans (BSP’s) is a necessity.Must be available to work, days, evenings, sleep shifts, weekends, and, ...
