About the Role

             Belmont, North Carolina, Neonatologist Nurse Practitioner    Job      Clinical Role:    This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year 
 An average daily census of about 5 newborns 
 24-hour shifts: rounding on newborns in-house during the day and then take call from home 
 NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home 
 Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care 
 Team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care, which is only 7 miles away 
 Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery 
 Located just 15 miles from uptown...
