National Professional Officer (Mental Health and Substance Abuse)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Under the direct supervision of the National Professional Officer (Health Promotion and Social Determinants of Health) and general supervision of the Team Lead, Healthier Populations and NCD, the incumbent will perform all or part of the following, and other related responsibilities as requiredby the needs of the office:Collect and compile data on various target populations, including the analysis and interpretation of data relevant to mental health, psychosocial support, and substance abuse, and contribute to the assessment of MHPSS needs, resources, and capacities within the information systems and support the timely and regular dissemination of updated WHO information, including reports, briefing notes, website content, and other information products on mental health, substance abuse, and related public health up to date on the latest information on newly emerging epidemic-prone diseases, public health threats, and other significant issues, ...
