Motor Vehicle Operator

Summary This position is located at the Fort Meade, SD Medical Center within the VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) Transportation Network. The motor vehicle operator (MVO), primarily collects and transports mail, packages and medical samples, with occasionally transporting Veterans and their caregivers. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include: Transports patients, visitors, and consultants, to and from airports, bus depot, alternate care sites, and other designateddestinations. Loading and unloading of patients and cargo. Responsible for pick up and/or delivery of supplies/equipment per request and other logistical support needed. Snow removal, lawn care equipment, and completing grounds maintenance tasks. Regular preventive maintenance on vehicles. Makes inspections for safety, checks fluid levels and keeps vehicles clean and inrepair.
