Job Title: Millwright

This role focuses on setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery in a sawmill environment that includes a sawmill, planer mill, and re‑saw plant.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment in the sawmill, including head rigs, quad saws, edgers, sorters, stackers, log cut‑up systems, Nicholson debarkers, and related machinery.
• Complete preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
• Follow manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other technical specifications to perform maintenance and repair tasks accurately.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty or malfunctioning machinery, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Control and reduce downtime by continuously improving the performance and reliability of sawmill manufacturing equipment.
