METALLIZING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR LEADER

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a work leader, to provide training, certification and knowledge of Metallizing Equipment Operator working directly with journeymen and non-journeymen performing all tasks assigned to Metallizing Equipment Operating. Responsibilities Provides guidance and passes on to others instructions received from supervisor and gets work started. Ensures that needed plans, blueprints, schematics, materials and equipment are available when needed. Operates thermal spray equipment to build up surfaces of items with thermal, erosion, or corrosion barriers, using highly specialized coatings of metals, alloys, refractory materials, ceramics, resins, etc. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
