Summary The Medical Administrative Assistant (GS-7) serves as a key member of the Mental Health Service Line (Telemental Health Program), scheduling and coordinating complex appointments, consults, and clinic operations to ensure the timely, efficient and Veteran-centered access and delivery of virtual mental health services to Veterans. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and coordinate in-person and virtual mental health appointments using VA scheduling systems (Vista/CPRS/ISS/CTM) and established scheduling directives. Manage active and pending consults, recalls/return-to-clinic requests, electronic waiting lists, open encounters, VeText communications, and other workload-management tools to support timely access to care.
