Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical fitter to join our team on a 4-month contract basis. This role is outside IR35, making it well suited to experienced contractors operating via a limited company.

This position is mechanically biased, with a strong focus on maintaining, repairing, and optimising mechanical systems, particularly valves and associated equipment, while still supporting electrical fault‑finding where required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair faults with a mechanical bias, including valves, pipework, and mechanical assemblies.
• Support electrical fault finding on control systems, motors, and associated equipment.
