Mechanical Engineer

PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer – Test Facilities Engineering to join our automotive engineering client based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. This is an initial 6-month contract role paying up to £28.95 p/hour or £39.29 Umbrella p/hour.

This position requires working onsite five days per week at a state-of-the-art R&D and testing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and deploy powertrain test cell technologies.
• Design and develop mechanical systems and associated services for test facilities.
• Lead and execute small-to-medium engineering projects across multi-functional teams.
• Modify facility plant, test rigs, and equipment to meet development requirements.
