Mechanical Draughtsman (Heavy Industrial Sectors)

Our client is a leader within the engineering and manufacturing sector of utility-scale motors and equipment for the mining and heavy industrial sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.


• Prepare detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings for utility-scale motors, steel structures, and related mechanical components.


• Modify and update existing drawings in line with engineering and client requirements.


• Create assembly, fabrication, and general arrangement drawings.


• Interpret engineering specifications, technical sketches, and design requirements.


• Liaise with engineers, production teams, and workshop personnel to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.


• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
