About the Role
Position Summary
The Materials Engineer is responsible for producing nanoporous materials by executing pre-approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a wet-chemistry lab/production environment. This role focuses on consistent, repeatable processing; careful handling of materials and reagents, and maintaining high-quality documentation to support traceability, quality control, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also support routine materials testing/characterization (per SOP), maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) best practices at all times.
What you'll be doing
- Follow SOPs to produce nanoporous materials with high levels of precision.
- Utilize a variety of analytical techniques and instruments to carry out simple characterization techniques, following quality control (QC) procedures.
