Marine Electronics Technologist

Overview

Marine Electronics Technologist is accountable for the effective operation, maintenance and repair of the electronics and automation equipment installed on Seaspan Marine vessels. The objective is to manage, plan and respond to electronic equipment and systems on board Seaspan vessels, provide and implement repair recommendations, oversee the planned maintenance program, and provide guidance and mentorship to vessel crews and shoreside maintenance personnel. This role acts as a resource for the shipboard crew and shoreside maintenance personnel regarding routine maintenance of the vessels.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the planning and management of the annual electronics budgets and resource allocation for the Seaspan fleet, including planning for obsolescence and implementing emerging technologies and equipment over vessel operational life.
