Manufacturing Specialist Materials Management

As a Materials Specialist you will primarily work in a metallurgical laboratory and mechanical testing facility. You will also undertake desk-based assessments of equipment, use the findings to solve client problems, and guide them toward better equipment management.

Inventory Optimization & Strategy

• Lead initiatives to optimize inventory levels while maintaining high service levels across regions.
• Analyze inventory trends (DSOH turns aging) and develop actionable plans to improve performance.
• Drive reduction of slow-moving and excess inventory through structured programs.
• Monitor safety stock levels and aging inventory, working with regions and manufacturing plants to address them.
• Provide updates to inventory projections and create mitigation plans as needed.
• Work with Supply Planners to implement stocking strategies for local providers.
