Manual Machinist (Day Shift)

We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to operate a variety of machines including a Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL), Vertical Boring Mill (VBM) and Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM).

RESPONSBILITES:

• Identifies the type of material being used and corrects or modifies tooling call-outs, offsets, speeds and feeds to allow for variations in the material. Performs the majority of machining operations needed to complete the part.
• Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required.
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized.
