GENERAL SUMMARY:
Maintains accountability for coordinating the care of trauma patients in order to ensure an organized, multidisciplinary approach for management of quality patient care both internally and externally in a trauma care system consistent with the criteria outlined in the most current edition of the American College Surgeons (ACS) Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelors Degree in nursing. Masters Degree in nursing, business or related field preferred.
+ Current MI RN license required.
+ Minimum of five years nursing experience in the care of trauma patients.
+ Advanced skills in critical care nursing required.
+ Pertinent certifications related to the care of trauma patients strongly preferred (TNCC, ENPC, ATCN, etc).
+ Management experience with background in budget oversight strongly recommended.
