GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Facilities Team, which has responsibility for maintenance, safety, sanitation, and appearance of Ivy Tech Community College Hamilton County equipment, facilities, and grounds as assigned. Maintenance performs a variety of maintenance tasks which may include, repair tasks on buildings and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment; minor construction projects; and/or building and grounds beautification.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assigned work orders in a timely manner which includes timely updates of online work order system.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of assigned equipment including HVAC.
- Perform timely cyclical preventative maintenance tasks and maintain reporting documentation.
- Assist supervisor with cyclical safety inspections.
