The position will be responsible for the following tasks:
Examines lumber on moving chain conveyor to determine grade, species and surface measure of each board, placing a value on the board. Put grade marks on each individual board at production pace. Checks package ticket for proper amounts. Oversees activities of hourly slip crew employees. Ensures inspection slip is maintained in optimum working order. Reports production or workforce problems to supervisor. Assists with routine maintenance and minor repairs to inspection slip. Always follow all safety guidelines to eliminate accidental injury. Maintain property, plant, and equipment to support and improve the safe production and performance of operations.Be a role model for safety.
