Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will have opportunity to work within a dynamic workplace that is designed to meet the needs of individuals who present with a combination of dementia syndrome and complex behavioral issues.

Residents may exhibit challenging, unpredictable responsive behaviors which require enhanced staffing expertise to provide care and oversight.

Reporting to the Care Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills to provide care to individuals within the Enhanced Care Unit.

The LPNs practice encompasses the application of nursing knowledge, skills and judgement to assess resident needs and provides nursing care that is reflective of their level of education and knowledge.
