Role Description

The Learning Area Leader is the lead educational authority within the Science discipline, responsible for driving excellence in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and student outcomes across Years 7–12. The role requires strategic leadership, initiative and professional influence, fostering a high‑performing team culture where teachers collaborate, innovate and continuously improve practice.

Learning Area Leaders shape their learning area, ensuring alignment with the College vision, Victorian Curriculum 2.0, VCE Study Designs and VCE Vocational Major requirements, and the EREA Touchstone of a Liberating Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Science Faculty (including Food Studies), ensuring exemplary teaching standards and learning outcomes.
