Lead, Subcontracts

Job Description:

The Subcontracts Manager (SCM) is responsible for the overall life cycle of a subcontract, from the initial sourcing and acquisition strategy development, through solicitation, negotiation, award, cost and schedule management, subcontractor execution and closeout steps. 

Subcontracts leverage the variety of subcontract types, (i.e. fixed-price, cost reimbursement, time & material, labor hour, etc.) to best manage risk for both L3Harris and our customers. Typical management and administrative responsibilities include collaboration on the acquisition strategy and sourcing, development of the subcontract requirements (i.e. SOW development), generation of the solicitation / request for proposal, source selection, negotiation (price, schedule, technical, terms & conditions), establishment of the official subcontracts file and its required documentation, management of supplier cost, schedule performance and collaboration with engineering on the t...
