Laborer

Summary This position is located within the Facilities Management Services Division of Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Prescott, AZ. The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a laborer who will be routinely performing manual labor tasks involving use of common tools and simple power equipment (e.g., power lawnmowers, both push and riding, edger's, hedge clippers, weed eaters, blowers, etc.). Responsibilities Duties to include but not limited to: Operating a Tractor with brush cutter weighting more than 3,700 pounds and a forklift weighing more than 3,000 pounds. Recognizing hazardous conditions and performs necessary steps to eliminate or assist in eliminating these conditions; if not possible, works safely to avoid committing unsafe acts and be cognizant of the safety of employees for mutual protection.
