**Description**

**General Summary**

Performs corrective maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment systems and machinery to keep in optimum operational condition. Work also includes general maintenance and repairs of installed equipment and systems to include electrical, plumbing, compressed gas systems, pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, motors, instrumentation and controls of all aspects of hospital equipment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Install, inspects, repairs and maintains a variety of commercial kitchen equipment.
+ Performs preventative maintenance per the manufacturer’s recommendation and other directives.
+ Knowledge in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and instruction manuals.
+ Coordinates work and inspections with Lead Maintenance Mechanic.
+ Possesses basic computer knowledge and skills required to document maintenance and accomplish required training.
