About the Role
Part ‑ time | 30 hours per week | Timaru & South Canterbury
Ngāi Tahu Māori Rock Art Trust is seeking a passionate and experienced Kaihautū Mātauraka – Lead Educator to support the delivery and development of high‑quality education programmes at Te Ana Māori Rock Art Centre and Māori rock art sites across Ōpihi, South Canterbury .
This role plays a critical part in supporting the Trust’s rock art site protection and management kaupapa by growing awareness and appreciation of the cultural and heritage significance of Ngāi Tahu Māori rock art among ākonga, kaiako, and the wider community.

Ngāi Tahu Māori Rock Art Trust supports Rūnaka and their communities in the care, management, and celebration of mana whenua Māori rock art heritage. Te Ana Māori Rock Art Centre welcomes over 1,500 ākonga annually , from early childhood through to tertiary level.
