Senior Tour Consultant

A luxury Destination Management Company is looking for a Senior Tour Consultant in Cape Town. The role involves assisting in designing tour packages by skillfully negotiating and contracting rates to convert inquiries and quotes into bookings profitably, with 60% of your time spent on quoting and booking confirmations and 40% on administrative and operational matters.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

  1. Understand clients’ needs and requirements – know what to sell when, where, and how.
  2. Develop product knowledge to assist with achieving key business objectives through on-the-job training, attending prescribed roadshows, conducting product training, and understanding tour routes and products.
  3. Ensure timely responses to clients, carry out tasks, and provide feedback to relevant parties such as Travellers, Suppliers, Agent partners, Sales Support Team, Line Managers, and the Managing Director.
