Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Plate Printing Division, Washington, DC facility. As an Intermediate Plate Printer, you will perform work under the direction of a journeyperson Plate Printer to include work utilizing a variety of complex and high-speed intaglio presses printing U.S. currency and other government securities from intaglio plates. Responsibilities As an Intermediate Plate Printer, you will: Set up and operate intaglio printing presses to include installing and positioning plates and rollers, secure and check materials needed such as paper, inks, rigging boards, wiping rolls, etc., and make all adjustments to peripheral devices and attachments as needed. Use and maintain tools and measuring instruments associated with printing operations. Use trade and technical practices in the operation of Intaglio printing presses.
