INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (SHIPS)

Summary You will serve as an Industrial Specialist (Ships) in the Waterfront Opeartions Department (Code 300) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will act as the business agent for Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA) with other activities involved in the assigned availability/contracts. You will maintain liaison with customers, ship's force, NSSA functional departments and the contactors. You will act as a fund's administrator for the assigned availability and contacts. You will coordinate planning and estimating, design specification preparation, and scheduling. You review specifications to ensure completeness and conformance to authorized work. You will be responsible for managing ship repair job orders and contracts.
