Biffa has responsibility for managing 14 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) under the 25 year contract with Cumberland Council. The role of the HWRC Officer is to ensure compliance with Biffa Cumbria’s contractual obligations in relation to the management of the sites.

The role will involve extensive regular travel throughout Cumbria to visit the HWRC sites although you will be based at our Hespin Wood offices in Carlisle.

The HWRCs are a public facing service and our customer expects and deserves exceptionally high standards of operational service and Contract compliance. As an HWRC Officer you will have a key role within the Cumbria team providing a regular on-site presence, monitoring compliance in all areas....
