About the Role
The High School Equivalency (HSE) Instructor is responsible for providing engaging instruction to a diverse group of adult learners. The typical HSE class serves out of school youth and adults over the age of 17 with a goal of attaining a NYS High School Equivalency Diploma by preparing and successfully passing the GED exam. • Instructor should have experience delivering instruction to a diverse group of proficiency levels in math and reading. • Instructor should expect to deliver whole group, small group, and individualized instruction to a multi-leveled class of adult learners in the following content-areas; English, math, science, and social studies. • Instructor must have research-based strategies relative to providing instruction to learners with classified or non-classified learning disabilities and advocate for student accommodations. ?
