Hiring for EOT Gantry Crane Operator to work in Iron & Steel Project, Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate rail-mounted gantry and EOT cranes in accordance with manufacturer instructions, SOPs, and Qatar Steel HSE regulations.
• Lift, move and accurately position various loads (e.g., billets, rebar) using appropriate hoisting attachments such as electromagnets, hooks and slings.
• Assess load assembly, determine center of gravity and verify load safety prior to lifting.
• Operate crane controls (pedals, levers, buttons) to manage speed, direction and hoist movement based on written, verbal or signal instructions.
• Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of the crane and hoisting mechanisms.
• Conduct pre-operational and periodic inspections to identify defects or malfunctions; promptly report issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Complete and maintain accurate check-sheets and operational records.
