About the Role
Almstead Tree, Shrub & Lawn Care is a family-owned company that has been caring for landscapes across the NY, NJ and CT tri-state area since 1964. Our New Rochelle yard is the operational hub for our crews and a daily stop for customers picking up propane, mulch and landscape supplies. We're looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to keep the yard running.
Experience with front end loaders as well as industrial equipment is strongly preferred. This job requires loading trucks and operating other heavy machinery throughout the day, and it also covers the day-to-day work that keeps our yard safe, clean and customer-ready, including propane sales.
What you'll do:
+ Operate front end loaders and other heavy machinery to load trucks with mulch, logs, chips and materials
+ Move, stage and organize material and equipment around the yard
+ Fill and exchange propane tanks for drive-in customers, following all safety procedures
