About the Role
About the role
A Heat Transfer Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing heat exchanger and components where heat transfer is a critical factor. This role involves applying principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to ensure efficient thermal performance in Carrier products and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a heat transfer engineer, she or he will be responsible for:
1. Thermal System Design & Analysis
Design and evaluate heat exchangers, cooling systems, insulation, and thermal interfaces.
Perform detailed thermal calculations using conduction, convection, and radiation principles.
Develop simulation models (e.g., CFD) to predict temperature distribution and heat flow.
2. Simulation & Modeling
Use engineering software such as ANSYS Fluent, IPM or MATLAB to conduct thermal simulations.
Validate models with testing and refine designs accordingly.
