About the Role
Reports To – Group Health & Safety Officer
Overview –To protect the health and safety of the employer and its employees by ensuring that health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards and procedures are implemented, monitored and effectively managed, including the identification of workplace risks and hazards.To be involved in risk management, the management of construction documentation, subcontractor coordination, and project close-out procedures.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- Advanced computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license
- Safety Management Training Course (SAMTRAC) and/or Safety Officer Training (SHETRAC)
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) training
- Legal Liability training/courses
- Incident Investigation training
- Basic knowledge of Hazardous Chemical Substances regulations and handling procedures
