Description

The Health Care Aide (HCA) is a regulated health professional who provides direct personal care and health support services to clients across the lifespan in accordance with their scope of practice, regulatory standards, and government legislation. Working under the functional supervision of a nursing team member, the HCA collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver assistance with activities of daily living, monitor and report changes in health status, and support the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and behavioural well‑being of clients.
