Head of Health and Hygiene & Biosafety – Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Responsibilities

• Biosafety Program Management (40%)
  • Assure compliance with the Canadian Biosafety Standard and the conditions of the Human Pathogens and Toxins Licences issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
  • Appoint, direct, and supervise a biosafety officer; lead the comprehensive site‑wide biosafety/biosecurity program and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and Sanofi regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and oversee the site biosafety inspection/audit program, ensuring corrective actions for non‑compliances.
  • Develop and deliver training on biosafety and biosecurity compliance, risks, and practices.
  • Provide technical support on facility containment/design, operational procedures, and biocontainment equipment.
