The role involves surveillance, education, audits, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention policies, supporting accreditation and promoting patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities

Surveillance and Monitoring

• Conduct active and passive surveillance of HAIs such as CLABSI, CAUTI, VAP and SSI.
• Analyze and interpret infection data
• Prepare reports for leadership.
• Identify outbreaks early and initiate containment measures.
• Policy Implementation and Compliance
• Implement and monitor IPC policies aligned with JCI and WHO standards.
• Ensure compliance with standard and transmission-based precautions.
• Participate in policy development and review.
