About the Role
Summary The mission of the CISA Office of Privacy, Access, Civil Liberties & Transparency (PACT) is to help CISA achieve its homeland security and protective mission while minimizing the impact on the individual's privacy, particularly the individual's personal information. Responsibilities Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to: Reviewing records in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and determines if records should be released in full, in part, or withheld. Analyzing the scope of incoming FOIA requests and coordinate with program offices for responsive records. Conducting regular follow-up with program offices, subject matter experts, and agency leadership to ensure timely responses to FOIA taskings. Tracking and monitoring the status of FOIA requests, referrals, and consultations. Developing and implementing strategies to reduce the agency's FOIA backlog.
