About the Role

About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner  to join our healthcare team at Derwentside IRC. Derwentside IRC is an Immigration Removal Centre based in Consett, County Durham. The site supports up to 80 women aged 18+ with primary care, mental health and substance misuse service. GP sessions are similar to those in community and focus mainly on acute needs with a holistic and trauma‑informed approach. 
Hours Part‑time: 28 hours per week (7 x 4‑hour sessions). The service operates 7 days a week (Mon–Sun). Sessions can be scheduled flexibly on a rota (including weekends) such as 3.5 full days or spread across 4‑5 days. 
AM: 08:00 – 12:00 
PM: 13:00 – 17:00 
Salary You’ll receive an annual salary up to £115,857 per annum FTE – depending on experience.
