General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist (Flin Flon)

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Charge or designate, the General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples according to established protocols. The general technologist also assists in general laboratory projects such as SOPs, chemical inventories, and other duties as required. The incumbent maintains a secure environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines, ensures compliance with quality assurance programs, and maintains standards as established by accreditation. All functions are conducted in accordance with Shared Health Diagnostic Services’ mission, values, current policies, procedures and applicable legislation.

Experience

• Previous related experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program.
