About the Role

Summary You will serve as a FREIGHT RATE SPECIALIST in the INSTALLATION SUPPORT DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR. Responsibilities You will accept, prepare and issue all documentation required in shipping and receiving of freight moving from and to the combat center to a myriad of domestic and international destinations. You will determine freight classification for a variety of unusual and standard items, some of which have no recorded or published classification. You will conduct pre-audits of freight bill for correctness. You will coordinate requirements for shipping and receiving of cargo and rolling stock for special training exercises and reserve units arriving at the activity on a continuing basis. You will determine the appropriate type of carriers while considering any special routing required and/or special equipment needed.
