This role involves the responsibility of off-loading and on-loading all goods from containers using a propane sit-down counterbalance forklift. The forklift operator will spend approximately 80% of their shift operating the forklift, requiring the ability to work quickly yet safely in tight quarters. The operator will handle freight of varying sizes and weights, necessitating experience in working with diverse freight. Initially, paper shipping documents will be used to ensure correct loading and unloading, transitioning to a complex digital shipping software in the coming months. This is a long-term rolling contract with the possibility of extension.
