About the Role
Job Title: Forklift Driver
Location: Merritt Island, FL
Type: Contract / On-site 40 hours a week
Compensation starts at $40 per hour
Responsibilities
+ Continuous improvement: evaluate/monitor/escalate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream
+ Support root cause analysis and provide details with problem solving skills
+ Properly use equipment to support the role, including fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment (primarily PIT equipment/forklifts)
+ Operate equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities, including but not limited to electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks
+ Receive shipments: unload shipments delivered by carriers
+ Inspect shipments: visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if they are acceptable according to a standard operating procedure
