Floor Finisher

Key Duties:

 Laying timber flooring, parquetry blocks and hybrid flooring materials;

 Preparing, levelling and cleaning floor surfaces prior to installation;

 Measuring and cutting flooring materials to fit around fixtures and edges;

 Sanding, polishing and finishing timber floors;

 Applying adhesives, finishes and protective coatings to flooring surfaces;

 Trimming edges and ensuring accurate flooring alignment and pattern matching;

 Repairing and replacing damaged flooring materials where required;

 Operating flooring tools, sanding equipment and related machinery;

 Reading measurements and ensuring flooring installation is completed to project

specifications;

 Maintaining safe work practices onsite.

Requirements:

 Certificate III in Flooring Technology or relevant qualification; OR

 At least 3 years of full-time relevant flooring industry experience if no formal

qualification;
