Assignment Specific Responsibilities

May perform one or more of the following functions:

Ensures routine requests for medical records, including subpoenas, are processed within operational guidelines for timeliness, following all applicate policies and procedures, state and federal law.

Prepares, scans, indexed, and performs quality assurance review of patient documents in the electronic health record. Identifies and reports use of unapproved forms. Provides appropriate education to departments that perform point-of-service scanning.

Locates and tracks legacy records as appropriate.

Coordinates merges of medical records across systems and physical charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy, involving upkeep of the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI), following all policies and procedures.Communication
