Overview

The Financial Services Manager (FSM) sells finance and insurance programs, aftermarket products and warranties, to buyers of new and used boats. FSMs also work with financial lenders to provide fair interest rates (prime and sub-prime) to buyers and programs.

As with all positions within dealerships, FSMs are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards. FSMs are required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction. Managers are required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect their operations, but must also comply with these regulations.
