Summary The incumbent serves as the Supervisor of the Medical Scanning Unit of the Health Information Management section under Patient business Services at the Columbus VA medical Center. The incumbent supervises the staff responsible for scanning documents into the electronic medical record, as well as administrative documents into VistA Imaging in compliance with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policies as well as Joint Commission standards for paper and electronic medical records. Responsibilities Incumbent is responsible for the daily operation of the Medical Records Scanning Unit with the responsibility of resolving daily problems timely and accurately. In addition, the incumbent is expected to assure that Leads and employees are functioning at or above a fully successful level for the unit to provide the expected support to other sections, services, Veterans and others with whom there is contact.
