Field Research Assistant

**Job Title:** Field Assistant
**Location:** Hermiston
**Pay Range:** $22/hour

**What’s the Job?**

+ Support corn detasseling activities during peak season (July and early August)
+ Perform field scouting, data collection, and roguing of fields
+ Assist with seed production activities and general field support
+ Operate field equipment on a limited basis when needed
+ Work extended hours, including weekends, and in varying weather conditions

**What’s Needed?**

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
+ Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record (company vehicle required)
+ Willingness to work long hours, including weekends in July
+ Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, windy, or inclement weather conditions
+ Required to wear appropriate footwear (shoes with ankle support)
