Responsibilities

• Responsible for the security of the buildings and grounds, including routine and non‑routine opening of the premises and setting of alarms.
• Ensure the whole site is kept free of litter and rubbish, including fallen leaves and general clearance from shrub borders, hedgerows, grass areas, gullies, adjacent walls, paths, drives and play areas.
• Work with the Facilities Manager and Officers to manage repairs and maintenance required outside this role, chase progress and report delays.
• Support the operation of the heating plant under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, maintaining required temperatures and an adequate supply of hot water.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance work, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, following training and development.
